Greetings From Vegas Baby!!! Every year we spend a week in Las Vegas for the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Convention. We do love the trade show and the cool seminars put on by some of the world's best photographers... However the main reason that we go is for the international print competition. We get a chance to put some of our favorite images from the past year in front of 30-40 of the worlds most esteemed photographers and let them go at them!!! It is like a personal portfolio review in front of 12,000 photographers. It is quite humbling and very rewarding to hear feedback from these photographers on our work. This year there were six different rooms with judges going through 1000s of prints from photographers all over the world. Our goal is to learn and be better at what we do and push ourselves to provide first rate imagery for our clients.

This year we had 14 images win Accolades of Excellence. Only a handful of studios worldwide had more images score as consistently high as we did.  The credit goes to our clients as they are the ones who allow us to have a medium in which to work! Here are the images that received honors!!!

You guys make me want to work harder!!!

Yet another past due post! Marco and I had the pleasure of teaming up with the Rachael Ray Show along side a few other Houston Wedding Vendors to help take care of some 50 couples who got married en masse at Minute Maid Park in the fall. These couples had their wonderful wedding plans shattered by a combination of Hurricane Ike and the closing of several prominent wedding venues. Here are a couple of our bride and grooms and some that show you the size of the event Rachel Ray Hosted.

Well this post is a long time in coming. We have already shot Silky and Pratik's Wedding down in the Galveston area (San Luis Resort - Post coming very soon) I flew up to Chicago for their session and we spent the better part of an entire day gallivanting all over the Chicago area in an attempt to see all the places they went the day Pratik proposed to Silky. We started with a very comfortable shoot in their apartment overlooking the city and ended on the streets at midnight in downtown.

I am new to photography and love taking pictures as a hobby. I came across your pictures and absolutely love the picture above with the couple on the bridge on Michigan Ave! I was wondering how you got the picture to have such a perfect red tint to it? The image is very dark, which I love, and the red tint makes it perfect. Would you mind telling me what settings you used to take this and if you used an image program, what you did to it. I love it!! Great job.
