Back in January, our team traveled to India to capture Renu and Troy’s wedding. While we’ve covered many South Asian weddings here in the states, this was our first trip to India and it was truly amazing. There is such beauty in the sweeping landscapes, flavorful foods and bustling cities. Just a few days immersed in this culture and you feel transported to a completely different world! While there, it was not only our goal to document the trip through still photos, but to capture the same essence through cinematic film. Thus began our new adventure – Dakine Films.

We are absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with an amazing new talent in Houston, Mark Calver. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mark is an award-winning filmmaker who is passionate about cinematic storytelling. He is dedicated to developing a personal relationship with each one of his clients, so he can authentically tell their stories through the eyes of the camera. With his fun-loving personality and contagious energy, we’re so excited about all the new projects we’re working on together!

Renu and Troy’s wedding highlight is just the first of many films – so dramatic and full of life, telling the story of this couple’s celebration through every last detail and emotion. The film was featured at their Dallas wedding reception just a few weeks ago and their guests absolutely loved it!
